Circa 1949 Summers Art

Recently my Uncle gave me this painting of two ducks dated 1949.  I had never seen this painting, but my dad had drawn it with pen and ink on silk and then added the color.  The frame appears to be of dime store quality and the mat is hand cut.

My Dad's signature and date.  Predates my arrival on the planet by several years.

Mystic Grill

Mystic Grill

Mystic Grill, Mystic Falls - a/k/a/ Covington, Georgia

Playing around with a number 2 pencil and blending stump for the past few days.  I have a sack full of all types of pencils, pens, watercolors and acrylics.  But a lot is possible with just a number 2.
