Waffle House Police Radio

Waffle House Police Radio

So this is how the story usually goes:
A cop eating in a diner somewhere leaves their walkie-talkie on the counter.  A member of the service staff picks it up and starts calling out on it. This way everybody everywhere will know someone screwed up. “Hey, come get your radio from the Waffle House.”  I don’t know how true this story is.  Probably an urban legend.  Never happened to me or anyone I know...

Foxy Lady - Atlanta, GA

Foxy Lady - Atlanta, Georgia
Foxy Lady

In my effort to document my native city of Atlanta, I sometimes tend to eschew the regular fare.  This is one of those times.  I could not resist the sign.  On the sign, in small letters, it is indicated the Foxy Lady was established in 1977.  I guess new talent was inevitable.

Thelma's Rib Shack
Recently, the Atlanta Urban Sketchers decided to have a sketchcrawl in the Historic MLK area of Atlanta.  Other commitments are wreaking havoc on my schedule, so I had time the weekend before the upcoming sketchcrawl to visit the area.  Lots of history and plenty to draw, paint and photograph... this is my contribution.

Pen and Ink, watercolor in a small Moleskine sketchbook.
